A study on the reduction of antibiotic use by introducing organic acids in broiler chicken feed in the district of Abidjan - Ivory Coast

The use of organic acids in the diet animals is potentially beneficial for maintaining intestinal hemostasis and controlling growth pathogenic bacteria. objective this study was to experiment with as additives antibiotics used by farmers. A total 490 broilers were studied divided into 5 lots 98 subjects. experimental core consisted Fysal, Fysal-Selko, Selko, Patheryl (reference antibiotic) Control. products introduced drinking water (Selko pH) feed (Fysal MP). high consumption noticed Fysal lot 80.44±44g/chicken followed respectively Pteryl 79.48 ± 42.25g/chicken, Fysal-Selko 79.34 43.62g/chicken, Selko 77.27 41.39g/chicken finally Control 76.01 39.41g/chicken. weight gain 1770 623.38g 1709 606.05g, 1619 577.70g, 1607 567.90g against 1550 544.41g. mortality rate 3.06% recorded only lot. Economically, (Fysal, Selko) that consumed containing higher profits compared batches. such MP pH could be alternatives poultry farming.
